Windows are in

And oh my gosh… they are everything I dreamed of and more. My eyes welled upĀ  a little when I saw them all in place with the front and back doors. I know I say this at every stage of the project, but I really mean it this time… It looks and feels like a real house now. It’s closed in and starting to feel cozy already. This is really happening. My dream is coming true!

When the siding goes up, it'll be even more wonderful.

  1. WOW!! Holy cow, Anna. It looks amazing!

Door color ideas: Some shade of beige? Wheat grass? Almond? Not almond-almond… but sorta.

Who cares… look at those windows! They even make the Tyvek look good.

  2. Hi again,

Sorry I am late getting back to you on the color of the door, I think white would be very attractive with the red
    siding.

    The house is looking terrific!

    Love you, Grams

  3. What shade of red is the siding? I’ve always liked super-deep brick reds accented with slightly warm medium grays. There’s a house between the Yellow Brick and the Blue Moon that pulls it off well – it looks really dignified and stately. If you’re going for something a little cheerier, you could always go for kind of a yellow-orange. Like mustard mixed with sunshine.
